Things to do

Air links to the Dordogne area are very good and set to get better.

At present Ryanair fly direct to Limoges and Bergerac, for example from London Stansted, Liverpool and East Midlands whilst flybe, who also fly to Bordeaux, offer flights from a number of other airports including Birmingham, Manchester Southampton, Bristol and Exeter.

Both Limoges and Bergerac airports are no more than 1.5 hours drive from Ladornac, and Bordeaux approximately 2 hours. Car hire is available on-site at all the airports and then a pleasant drive to Ladornac, slightly more picturesque from Bergerac but slightly more convenient from Limoges, and an easy drive on new motorways from Bordeaux - the choice is yours.

In addition work is well underway on a new airport at Brive-Souillac. The airport should be operational by 2008/9. It is hoped that the new airport will accommodate more than 100,000 passengers a year and it is anticipated there will be regular departures to England. Brive-Souillac airport is only 20 or so minutes drive from Ladornac.
